Clermont Senior Services recently recognized volunteers from the community, for their work serving the older adult population in Clermont County. Volunteers are a vital part of the Clermont Senior Services agency; in fact, nearly 80% of the Meals on Wheels delivered within the County are delivered by volunteers. The value added by Volunteers to Clermont Senior Services is immense and allows the agency to leverage their dollars further, in turn, serving more customers with their signature, “service with heart.” Volunteers recognized included two individuals who have contributed 20 and 25 years of service, as well as the Miami Twp. Police Department, Meals on Wheels Drivers, The Golden Bells, Shoppers and Extra Hand Volunteers. Annie Morgan, represented the Miami Twp. Police Department and their commitment to the community. Miami Twp. Officers work with Clermont Senior Services to identify seniors who could benefit from officer visits; these visits occur in the home of the Senior Services Customer, in nursing homes and other senior housing communities. Our community is certainly fortunate to have such caring, selfless people who are always willing to lend a hand. For more information on becoming a volunteer in any capacity with Clermont Senior Services, please call Kathy Angel at 724-1255 or visit the Volunteer page on our website here.
