Volunteers Needed!
Clermont Senior Services is currently in need of home delivered meals volunteers and friendly shopper volunteers.
Home delivered meals volunteers
- Deliver nutritious meals to frail, home-bound older adults in a timely, courteous manner. Additionally, delivering meals will allow the volunteer to check on the welfare of our customers and notify us of any problems or irregularities.
- 2-3 hour time commitment per day for each route
- Volunteers are asked to have a valid drivers license, proof of automobile insurance, a safe driving record and a clean background check including personal references.
- Physical requirements include lifting up to 30 pounds, occasionally and up to 5 pounds frequently.
- Reimbursement for mileage is offered according to IRS guidelines.
Friendly Shopper Volunteers
- Provide safety checks and limited, informal support to the home-bound senior.
- Duties may include shopping, visiting or running errands.
- The time commitment varies depending on the needs of the customer.
