Volunteer Opportunities
We currently have several opportunities for volunteers! If you can fulfill any of these requests, please call us at 513-724-1255. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
- We still have about 50 seniors that need to be adopted for our Adopt-a-Senior program. This program gives the most vulnerable seniors, who often don’t receive any gifts at Christmas, the opportunity to feel compassion from others. Participating seniors will fill out a “wish list”, each person who signs up to adopt a senior will purchase items from that list, wrap the gifts and deliver them to the CSS offices. Special delivery volunteers will then match the gifts to the appropriate senior and deliver their packages during the weeks leading up to Christmas.
- Each year the Adult Day Services Center has a special Christmas celebration for their customers. Each participant receives a goody bag filled with items graciously donated by community members. Items needed for the goody bags can include: sugar-free candy, gloves, hats, scarves, word search books, pencils, snacks and toiletries. There is a deadline to receive these items, please call the volunteer manager, for more information.
- The Union Township Lifelong Learning Center needs a volunteer to lead their book club. This person will be responsible for leading the club and communicating with the library. This group will take place the 3rd Monday of each month at 1PM.
