Tai Chi at Miami Township

Have you ever considered the benefits of Tai Chi? Yang Tai Chi movements are easy to learn, effective and safe. This style increases flexibility, muscle strength and mental activity, aligns posture, improves balance, and integrates the mind and body.

David Best is bringing his very popular Tai Chi class to Miami Township, beginning, September 12, and continuing each Thursday. Since his first cane defense and Tai Chi demonstration, students have been enthusiastic and want to know more about the new instructor.

The class will take place at the Miami Township Lifelong Learning Center, located inside the Miami Township Civic Center, on Meijer Drive. The particular class will integrate can self-defense and Yang style Tai Chi. Cane self defense teaches simple, effective self defense moves that can be performed while carrying a walking cane. David will supply the canes for the class if the student does not own a cane. There is a $1 suggested donation to attend this class.

These classes are also offered at Union Township. Please call the appropriate center, or check the online activity catalog here for more information.
