Dennis Shinkle recently celebrated 35 years of service at Clermont Senior Services. During the celebration, Dennis reminisced about his time at the agency, he spoke about how great it was to work with Founder, Lois Brown Dale and how amazing it’s been to see the changes take place over the years. Dennis recalled working with the GAINS program, a unique program for its time. GAINS (Gaining Assistance in Necessary Skills) provided therapies and activities that encouraged stroke patients to maximize their physical and cognitive abilities. The GAINS program evolved into the current Adult Day Services program, where Shinkle still works today. During his celebration, he said he loves his job and he’s excited for the future with Clermont Senior Services. It’s clear that Dennis is a valuable part of not only the ADS family, but the entire Clermont Senior Services family, as well.
