The Clermont County Commissioner’s proclaimed September, “Senior Center Month”, in Clermont County at their meeting September 14. Bill DeHass, Director of Community Services for Clermont Senior Services, received the proclamation and added remarks about the 3 centers in Clermont County operated by Clermont Senior Services. On average, 2000 seniors attend the Lifelong Learning centers each month. These centers as stated in the proclamation, play an important role in affirming the dignity, self-worth and independence of older persons by facilitating their decisions, and actions; tapping their experiences, skills and knowledge; and enabling their continued contributions to the community.
The theme of Senior Center Month is, “find your balance at your center.” All citizens are urged to take time this month to recognize the tremendous contributions that senior centers make towards our communities and the outstanding efforts of the staff and volunteers who work everyday to enhance the well-being of the older members of our community.
