The Jenco Foundation was formed in memory of Dr. Lawrence Jenco, a man who devoted his life to serving people. Each year the foundation chooses recipients of the Jenco Foundation Award who have demonstrated extraordinary service to others in their community.
This year, George and Ruth Ann Rooks were nominated by Clermont Senior Services and they were chosen as one of 5 recipients of the Jenco Award.
The Rooks’ have committed over 20 years of service to Clermont Senior Services by participating in the Adopt-a-Senior program, delivering Meals on Wheels, and donating to the Annual Touching Hearts Gala. Ruth Ann bakes her famous blackberry jam cake to be auctioned at each gala. This year’s cake raised an amazing $1610.00.
The Rooks’ are very humble volunteers who believe helping people is what the Lord wants them to do. Clermont County is very lucky to have people like George and Ruth Ann who are so faithful in their service to others.
