More Volunteer Appreciation

“Volunteers are not paid – not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless”

On Thursday, April 5, the Direct Service Volunteers were honored at the Clermont Senior Services Volunteer Award Luncheon. These volunteers work directly with many older adults in our community, delivering meals, shopping, and completing home repair tasks.

The Volunteer role is vital to the successful operation of Clermont Senior Services, as over 70% of customer meals are delivered by these caring and compassionate people. In fact, in 2017, Volunteers  donated 25,000 hours of their time to serving the older adults in Clermont County – This is astounding! Because our services are supported so well by volunteers, Clermont Senior Services is able to stretch their operating dollars further, impacting more of those in our community that need resources.

The Volunteers were treated to a time of lunch and fellowship and were also visited by many Case Managers from the Agency. The Case Managers were able to thank the volunteers for everything they do to help improve the lives of those served by Clermont Senior Services.
