Friday, April 21, MVCA students participated in the school Servathon. Students arrived at the Lois Brown Dale Welcome Center and immediately began making new friends in the customers at the Adult Day Program.
The Servathon is an opportunity for the students to give back to the community in meaningful ways. At the center, students assisted the customers in making cookies, crafting, bowling and socializing.
According to a parent chaperone, students ask family and friends to sponsor them during this event as a way to raise funds for the school and in turn, the school reserved the whole day for service.
The ADS Customers truly enjoyed spending time with students who were very well-mannered and attentive to the needs of their new friends and it looked liked the students had a great time as well!
