The Ladies of Seton are a group of around 20 members who belong to the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish. After hearing about Clermont Senior Services and the various needs of seniors in the community, Cathy Allen decided to gather the members to make a difference in the lives of as many seniors as they could and that is when the Easter basket project was created!
Allen, a Target employee received assistance from her store at River’s Edge in Milford. The group filled plastic 30 tote boxes with several essential items along with some fun activities and candies, each tote was lined with a festive, spring dishtowel. The Easter treats were delivered by Marti Kleinfelter (pictured below), to the Meals on Wheels department at Clermont Senior Services where they will be dispersed to Meals on Wheels customers in the Milford area and surrounding areas.
This is the first time the Ladies of Seton have partnered with Clermont Senior Services but Kleinfelter told us it won’t be their last, they are already looking forward to this project for next year. The idea to care for seniors came to the ladies attention after a representative from Clermont Senior Services visited one of their monthly meetings to discuss the critical services offered by the non-profit agency.
