In Memory of Patricia Scherer
Clermont Seniors Services lost a friend, a leader and a life-time member of our Board of Trustees with the passing of Patricia A. Scherer.
Lois Brown Dale, Clermont Senior Services’ founder, and Patricia Scherer were long-time friends who shared a passion for addressing the needs of aging adults. Pat, with her impressive background in social work, provided valuable guidance and support to the agency and its social work department. Together, they recognized the importance of caregiver support and started facilitating caregiver support groups long before they became popular. In recognition of Pat’s contributions, Clermont Senior Services created the Patricia A. Scherer Caregiver Award, which is presented to deserving recipients who have shown exceptional strength, love, and support as a caregiver.
Thank you, Pat, for your leadership, guidance and friendship throughout the years. You will be greatly missed.
