Through a grant from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Cincinnati and the Carol M. Peterson Housing Fund, the Home Repair department of Clermont Senior Services (CSS), provided major renovations for one CSS customer.
As noticed in the photos, the restroom in the customer’s home was in dire need of repair, in order to make the space usable and more accessible.
Work performed included: the installation of a step in shower, wall repair, the addition of a pedestal sink and the leveling of the floor.
CSS relies on grants, such as the Carol M. Peterson Fund, to ensure that older adults in the Clermont Count community are living in their homes safely. Highly skilled volunteers and hired contractors provide labor services to complete these projects.
Through the Carol M. Peterson Housing Fund (CMPHF), the FHLB provides grants up to $7,500 per homeowner to fund accessibility and emergency repairs for low-income special needs and elderly homeowners. The fund is named in honor of the former FHLB executive who spearheaded FHLB’s affordable housing and community investment initiatives for more than two decades.
