Clermont Senior Services would like to honor a caregiver in your life. Do you know a non-professional caregiver that goes above and beyond the call of duty, for someone over the age of 60, residing in Clermont County?
The Patricia A. Scherer Caregiver Award, will be given to a deserving caregiver on May 8, at the Annual Meeting/50th Anniversary Celebration of the agency. This award is named after Patricia Scherer, who was instrumental in the formation of the first-ever caregiver support group that still exists today.
The 2018 award was received by Napolean McCallum, who is the caregiver for his wife. In Mr. McCallum’s nomination letter, it was written,
“Napolean’s dedication to his wife is absolutely remarkable. Not only does he care for her physically and emotionally, he does a great job of maintaining his own physical and emotional health. Napolean has instilled a great deal of faith, hope and positive energy, not only for the support group members but for me as well.”
If you know someone deserving of this award, the nomination process is simple:
