The Clough Pike Elementary Kids Care Club is comprised of caring students who meet before school to coordinate programs that benefit others. The club is guided by 5th grade teacher, Beth Testa, 5th grade parent, Emily Cowles and Aide, Donna Sparke. Santa and his elf, Linda, visited with their friend Kathy, from Clermont Senior Services recently to tell the kids about the Adopt-a-Senior program facilitated by Clermont Senior Services. The children agreed to adopt two Clermont County seniors by allowing the children and staff in the school to select items from the seniors’ wish list. The Clough Pike Elementary giving tree will be erected just before Thanksgiving and the Kids Care Club is excited to participate. Projects undertaken by the club so far this year include; Trick-or-Treat for Unicef, coordinating a Veterans Day assembly and collecting candy for the military.
