Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association Lends a Hand

The Union Township Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association recently completed a service project for a resident in need of landscaping work. The customer was referred to Clermont Senior Services by the Union Township Zoning Inspector. In lieu of issuing a fine for the appearance of her yard, the inspector reached out to Clermont Senior Services to see if help was available. Marla Goodwin, with the Academy Alumni Association, led the group in completing the task. Goodwin remarked, “when the neighbors saw the work being done, they offered to pitch in as well!”

This happy ending proves that many hands make light work and they also make a dramatic difference in the lives of the people who need it most.

Members of the Union Township Citizen’s Police Academy Alumni Association who took part in this project include:

Marla Goodwin, Cheryl Courtot, Brenda Brausch, Jude DeWitt, Mel DeWitt, Dan Theiss, Lynn Theiss, Olivia Goodwin (Marla’s grandaughter).
