The first-ever, Brackets for Good fundraising competition kicked off Friday, February 24 and Clermont Senior Services was honored to have a space on the bracket! The first round match-up for Clermont Senior Services was a nail biter with a tough, well-fought, battle against 4 Paws for Ability.
According to their website, “4 Paws for Ability enriches the lives of children with disabilities by training and placing quality, task-trained service dogs. This provides increased independence for the children, and assistance to their families. And 4 Paws also works with veterans from recent conflicts who’ve lost the use of their limbs or their hearing while in active combat. In all cases, the results speak for themselves. Lives are transformed.”
Clermont Senior Services supporters were amazing during the giving tournament! Many times during the first, week-long round, CSS held the lead but in the end, 4 Paws pulled through with several buzzer beaters and outscored CSS 1714-1272.
Here’s the good news: Each organization gets to keep all funds raised during the tournament, regardless of their advancement to the next round! That means, in just one week, CSS raised $1,272! Most of this giving came from the generosity of staff, board members and community supporters who believe in the mission of Clermont Senior Services and demonstrate a, “Service with Heart” attitude each and every day.
