The Board of Trustees of Clermont Senior Services held their Annual Meeting on April 11, to discuss the success of the Agency in 2017.
Attendees were welcomed by CEO, Cindy Gramke, who explained the importance of the “Service with Heart” culture at Clermont Senior Services. Trustee, Bob Hobson, gave the invocation and lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Dinner was served by Golden Rule Catering and Board Chair, Sam DeBonis reflected on 2017 and looked ahead to 2018. Two new Board members were also welcomed to the Board of Trustees, Kevin Malof, of Frost Brown Todd, LLC and Shawn Gupta of Gupta Law Firm, LLC.
After the business portion of the meeting concluded, guests witnessed the first-ever Patricia A. Scherer Caregiver Award presentation. Mr. Napoleon McCallum was honored for his dedicated, compassionate care of his wife, Virginia. You can read more about Mr. McCallum’s story here.
After the first award presentation, guests had the opportunity to view a touching video, produced by CTTS, that showed the impact the Adopt-a-Senior gift giving program has on older adults in our community. That video can be seen here.
The last presentation of the evening was to honor a very dedicated volunteer, Brian Hess. Brian has volunteered at Clermont Senior Services since 2005, thanks in part to the generosity of his company giving him 3 days of time to volunteer in his community. Mr. Hess dedicates 3 very full days to delivering the gifts for the Adopt-a-Senior program and he is sure to stay until the very last gift is delivered. Once again, the mission of Clermont Senior Services would not be successful, if not for the amazing volunteer force that commits their time to service the older adults in our community.
