Adopt a Senior Has Major Impact

It truly is amazing to see what a community of generous givers can accomplish in just a few short months! Adopt a Senior is an annual gift giving program, in which, community members agree to “adopt” an older adult for the Christmas season. These older adults are often isolated and without many close relatives with whom they can celebrate the season. Adopters receive wish lists and are tasked with purchasing a few gifts from that list. Once purchased, gifts are wrapped and delivered to Clermont Senior Services for delivery by volunteers.

This year, over 500 seniors received Christmas gifts through the generosity of our community! Adopters come from a variety of places: schools, churches, businesses, civic clubs, and individual families, have made Adopt a Senior an annual Christmas tradition.

This program creates so much joy during these dreary winter months and Clermont Senior Services is proud to partner with the community to brighten the lives of so many in our county.

If you or your organization would like to be made aware of the program for the 2020 Christmas season, please contact Kathy Angel at angelk@clermontseniors.com, for more information.
