Larry was a runner, he enjoyed a very active lifestyle until he had a stroke. In Larry’s words, that stroke changed his whole life. He shared with us, “When the abilities we have on a daily basis are suddenly stripped away from us, life can take on a whole new meaning.”
Unfortunately, for some, a stroke means isolation, depression and the need to rely on others in their time of need. But fortunately, for Larry, he is a Clermont County resident who learned of the services offered by Clermont Senior Services and he decided to utilize those resources. Larry receives Meals on Wheels, Transportation, Homemaking and Adult Day Services and credits these services with helping him to live a rich life. In fact, he loves dancing at the adult day center and listening to the different bands who visit on a regular basis.
Larry is just one example of the reason Clermont Senior Services exists: to improve the quality of life for older adults by providing a broad range of home and community based services, enabling them to remain as active and independent as possible.
These opportunities, available to Clermont County residents over the age of 60, aren’t possible without your help. Your generosity is making a difference in the lives of those who would otherwise not be able to access these services.
Your gift is life-giving. Would you consider coming alongside us to ensure that people like Larry, and so many others in his situation, have the ability to continue to live a rich life?
