It’s hard to believe but as this is being written there are only 18 Fridays until Christmas! At Clermont Senior Services that means we are gearing up for another successful Adopt-A-Senior, gift-giving program!
Many of our elderly neighbors in Clermont County go without gifts at Christmas and this is a chance for our community to let them know they are not forgotten and we care for them and their well-being. Shoppers are needed to adopt seniors and becoming an Adopt-A-Senior shopper is as easy as making a phone call to the Volunteer Coordinator at 513-536-4021. Once you have been registered as a shopper you will be paired with a pre-selected gift recipient and you will receive their “wish list”. Most wish lists contain items that may include toiletries, blankets, crossword puzzles, etc. You will then be asked to purchase a few of the wish list items and return your wrapped gifts to Clermont Senior Services. Gifts are delivered by Volunteers to the corresponding recipient. Last year the Adopt-A-Senior program provided gifts for 572 seniors! Adopting a senior is a fantastic way to reach out to our neighbors and share the joy of the season!
