In honor of National Falls Prevention Awareness Day on September 22, staff members at Clermont Senior Services took steps to prevent falls.
21 staff members walked one mile and they were not alone! As an initiative of STEADY U Ohio, communities across the state walked a collective17 million steps, exceeding the expectations of the initiative! 59 organizations participated in the day with over 3,500 people walking approximately 6,800 miles.
STEADY U Ohio is an initiative led by Governor John Kasich and the Ohio Department of Aging that aims to educate the public about fall statistics and ways we can all help prevent them from happening.
