On October 14, the Men’s Club at the Lois Brown Dale Welcome Center held its first cruise-in. The men’s club meets once or twice each month to discuss topics of interest and generate ideas for special programs and events.
Six classic cars rolled into the center’s parking lot and customers were able to walk around each car while speaking with the car owner’s. Meals on Wheels volunteer, Ken Butler, of Williamsburg brought his 1926 Dodge Touring Car and Welcome Center entertainers, Cecil and Connie McAfee of Hamersville brought their car for display. In addition to those mentioned above, the Men’s Club would like to thank, Ron Collier, Ronald and Carolyn Kortier and Teresa Stahl for bringing their cars.
The cruise-in also featured a display table for customers to view, which included scaled down models of classic cars as well as photos from past Pumpkin Run shows. The Welcome Center customers topped off the day with ice cream floats. For more information about the Lois Brown Dale Welcome Center please click here.
