The beginning of October will bring several information sessions pertaining to Medicare Open Enrollment and a special program regarding smart energy living. These sessions are always popular and they are a great source of trusted information to help navigate the unfamiliar world of Medicare enrollment and the ever-changing realm of home energy savings.
The Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP), will provide free health insurance information related to Medicare. A representative from OSHIIP will also discuss recent changes in Medicare and how it may affect you. These events are free and open to the public but registration is requested due to limited seating. Hear tips on how to save money on your natural gas, electric and water bills by making no-cost or low-cost changes around the house. Learn about the benefits of Energy Star appliances, CFL light bulbs, programmable thermostats and other energy-saving tips. A representative from the Ohio Consumer Council will will present along with a representative from Clermont Community Services who will speak about the local weatherization programs. This is a free program but registration is requested as seating is limited.
